Host Nick . . .
Some more new friends . . . .
Now this fellow . . . . Well, you'll just have to meet him. He's known as Nick V. Despite the similarity in names, he's definitely his own man. |
| This addition to the Nick series is, even to the artist, a surprise. He's had a mind of his own right from the beginning. June says he clearly directed each step of his creation. He's an ornery fellow, but clearly with a heart of gold. He's the mountain shaman of the Father Christmas series. He, too, like Nick III, carries a special walking stick with the image of a wood spirit at the top. Walking stick by June's husband, Roy. |

Nick V has posable armature like the others, and leather nose and paw pads. Note the characteristic JuneBear sculpting in his upraised rear paw. He is open-mouthed with a hand-painted sculpted tonque of ultra suede. Nick V is wearing a loin cloth and shoulder wrap of soft deerskin. His hat is made from an old fur collar, probably beaver or coon. It is trimmed with tails and a feather and a piece of sheepskin. Note his bear fetish earrings. He also wears natural native American beads and a hand-crafted beaded leather medicine bag to carry his special stone in the rough image of a bear. His burlap bag is full of magical herbs to cast a warm, happy spell on everyone he meets. 18 inches. SORRY. NICK V HAS BEEN ADOPTED. |
