For example, bears can be made to commemorate a special wedding, anniversary, or re-affirmation of vows. Bears can be mounted on a double stand, as shown, and include a brass plaque with the names of the couple and the important date. If some special lace or other fabric from a dress or veil is available, it might be used to outfit the Bride.
Bears shown are examples that have been adopted. They are about 12 inches high, open mouthed and fully jointed, made from mohair with ultra-suede paw pads. Bride wears a necklace including an old carved ivory rose. Her veil is made from vintage lace.
